I work as a researcher and, as many people, I spend long hours each day sitting in front of a pc. Because of often incorrect position while sitting, some time ago I started experiencing problems at my back and the pain after some time became chronic and very annoying.

Nonetheless, I waited several months before consulting a physiotherapist hoping that the pain would go away spontaneously. When I realized this was not happening, I decided to look for a physiotherapist and I found Contact Physio clinic just close to the gym where I go. Nilesh immediately understood the causes of the pain I was feeling (due reduced strength of my lower back) and we started a therapy to remove those causes. We have done that in several ways: ultrasounds, acupuncture but also appropriate exercises for my own problem. After few weeks the pain was very reduced and eventually it was gone completely. It was simply brilliant to recover so well and quickly. The help I received by Nilesh was very effective and professional.

After going to the hospital to see numerous consultants and specialists and trying a cocktail of medication. Nothing had worked and I was told that they could do no more for me and that i had to just get on and live with it.
Having seen many health professionals over the years I was advised to see Nilesh @ Contact Physiotherapy who examined me and found that my headaches, eye socket pain and neck and back pain was related to joint and muscle stiffness and weakness around my neck. Nilesh took time to explain the reason and after a few sessions of manipulation, acupuncture and guided exercises I was totally pain free and off the pain killers for good and I am now able to return to playing with my daughter and back to Yoga. I can not praise Nilesh and the team at Contact Physiotherapy enough.
Thank you

They had offered me Physio at Manchester hospital but I decided to travel to Preston to see Nilesh on a private basis as I wanted regular appointments to help speed up the recovery.
I already knew that Nilesh had very good knowledge from his hospital and practice post's. He helped explain the anatomy and treatment. Nilesh Spent time manipulating the wrist and got me doing a variety of exercises some which were weird and wacky but they worked.
I am now back to full duties as a Dentist some three Months after injury and i have to thank Nilesh for his support throughout. Thank you

BEN OLIVER
2012
On the 2nd February 2012, I had a right arthroscopic posterior stabilisation and SLAP repair of my shoulder. Since mid February I have been receiving physiotherapy treatment under the care of Nilesh. At first I had very limited range of movement with lots of pain and Nilesh worked with me to improve this with a variety of exercises. He supervised me using equipment such as gym balls, teaching me various patterns and routines in order to increase the range of movement of my shoulder.

Often my shoulder would be weak after exercise so Nilesh used a variety of taping techniques in order to support the joint and the muscles around my shoulder. Quite quickly my shoulder improved and Nilesh adjusted the exercises accordingly, focusing on the functionality of the shoulder. I found that I had a lot of tightness in my upper back and neck and Nilesh helped relieve this tightness with massage and acupuncture
Now I am at the stage where I am ready to participate in sport once more and Nilesh has successfully guided me through endurance and strengthening exercises to make my shoulder feel stronger than ever. I would personally like to thank Nilesh for the level of care he has showed towards me and I would recommend him to anybody who is seeking physiotherapy treatment.

"I was injured in a car accident in September 2010 and was referred to Nilesh as part of my rehabilitation programme. After the accident I really struggled with any basic household tasks as I was suffering from neck and back pain.

I frequently took pain killers just to try and numb the pain. As well as using massage therapy, Nilesh taught me different pilates exercises to do, both at work and at home to strengthen my core muscles and begin the healing process. After a course of treatments with him, I can say that I am feeling so much better then when I first went to see him. I would definitely recommend him to anyone".
Kind regards,

I was off work for over six weeks and went to and from the doctors getting different painkillers. I have two young children so day to day life was really difficult for me. I got to a point where I couldn’t carry the children or do daily tasks like cleaning, swimming at the gym. The lowest point was having to have support full time with the children.
I then started receiving physiotherapy with Nilesh at Contact Physiotherapy and things started to change. Slowly we built my movement back up so that I could carry on with daily life as normal. I had acupuncture too, which I responded really well too.
We worked on different exercises I could do at home and how I could try and do things in a way that wouldn’t hurt my back. It took some time but slowly things started to get back to normal and I am now back to my normal self doing things that I could do before the accident.

MARC BALSHAW - Amateur Professional Rugby
June 2008
In June 2008 I had a shoulder stabilizing operation following a rugby injury. After my operation I had Nilesh as my physio. I originally went to see him once a week starting on exercises to start moving my shoulder again using many different stability, postural and hydrotherapy exercises.
As my movement progressed and stability improved Nilesh introduced general strengthening exercises and also exercises specific to rugby. After each session he gave me numerous exercises to work through to improve my strength as well as maintaining stability and my posture. After months of rehabilitation I regained fully functional stability and strength and returned successfully to competitive sport.
Since my operation I occasionally return to Nilesh for sport massage to loosen up my shoulders and back after constant contact at rugby and advice on stretches and exercises to work on to keep the stability in my shoulders.
I have also recommended Nilesh to my friend who had rehabilitation on a persistent hamstring problem and has not had any more problems with this injury since.
